James Garfield assassinated
The Assassination of President Garfield at the Baltimore and Ohio Depot in Washington.
President James Garfield is shot by Charles J. Guiteau in the Baltimore and Ohio railroad depot. Garfield, with his hand on his back is being supported by a bodyguard while Guiteau is being detained by the crowd.
